Judaism is also lifelong learning. Shir Hatzafon offers various opportunities to acquire more knowledge.

Adult Study Group

Since its beginnings as PJF the congregation has had study groups for adults. The weekends when Shir Hatzafon offers a Shabbat service also include a Sunday study group with widely different topics with a Jewish angle. The starting point is one or more texts eg. from the TaNaKh (The Hebrew Bible). The study group will be led by a rabbi or a member of Shir Hatzafon.

SHPROG - Parashah study group

The weeks when there are no Shabbat services at Shir Hatzafon a a group of members meet to read and debate the Parashah (Torah portion) or Haftarah from the Nevi'im (Prophets) of the week. The text is red in each participant's preferred language, and discussions arising from the text is enriching and often amusing. The circle will meet from 3-5 pm in changing homes.
