Wedding

A Jewish marriage is celebrated with great joy in the Jewish community. Shir Hatzafon are entitled under Danish law to perform a valid civil marriage between two Jews or a interfaith couple. A religious marriage is almost identical to an Orthodox Jewish wedding and places particular emphasis on the three-dimensional nature of a Jewish marriage with two independent people and their cause. In a Jewish marriage complementary partners to each other and realize themselves. Their common life will be blessed and sanctified by God.

The ceremony emphasizes, in accordance with the principles of Progressive Judaism, which both Progressive Jewish liturgy and Ketubah (marriage certificates) confirm an equal status between the bride and groom. Through an early dialogue in the planning the religious ceremony is sought to be meaningful and central to the couple and their families.
